Clubs and Organizations - Performing Groups
Whether your organization is a large charitable group, or simply a
Friday night poker club looking for new members, my readers might
want to know about you.  Send me a blurb (don't forget to include
contact info), and I'll post it here.

Check the Navigation Bar to the left.  I have sub-divided this area to
make it easier to find things.
Bayou City Women's Chorus
I hope you have all gotten a chance to see the Bayou City Women's Chorus perform at some
point or another.  They just ROCK, and this year's new director is really picking some fun
things for them to perform!!!!  They are starting rehersals soon for the new season, and
they are inviting all of YOU to join in the fun.  During the month of January, they hold "open
rehearsals" - which gives all you aspiring singers the chance to work with the choir for a
couple of sessions, to determine if you'd like to join.  There is no audition - just a simple
voice placement exercise to determine which section you will be assigned to.

First concert (this one will be by the Bayou City Chorale, which is a combination of the men’s
and women’s choruses):
    We Can't Stop the Beat
    Tuesday, March 23, 2010 • Jones Hall • 7:30pm
This high energy concert will feature music from all over the world with an emphasis
on percussion and rhythmic beat – and dancing. Bayou City Chorale and special guests
will even stomp by to help rev things up. From George Gershwin and The Glen Miller
Band to "Hairspray" and beyond, we’ll have you on your feet dancing and feeling the
    beat.
Second concert (the Bayou City Women’s Chorus):
    It's All About Love
    Saturday, May 15, 2010 & Tuesday, May 18, 2009 • Unity Church • 7:30pm
No matter how much experience you have in your own love life, this concert will leave
you with a better understanding of the feeling which, perhaps, may be the only answer
left to all of the world’s conflicts. Filled with love songs and songs about love, we are
sure you’ll “feel the love tonight”.  A portion of the proceeds from this concert
    benefits the American Heart Association.
